To explain at 45degree angle we have triangle that has equal twin sides and one of the sides is the radius of the unit circle. Since the radius of unit circle is one, at the intersection of the circle and y axis the y value is 1 and that is why we can come to the conclusion that Sin(90)=1īy the same token, sin(45)=Cos(45)=square root of 1/2. If you want to avoid memorizing formulas, just draw a unit circle somewhere so you can always look at it.
